A spicy mezcal-tequila sour lifted by Green Chartreuse, honey, and fresh jalapeño heat.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Mezcal
- 1 oz Blanco Tequila
- 0.5 oz Green Chartreuse
- 0.75 oz Lime juice
- 0.5 oz Honey syrup — 1:1 honey to water
- 2 slices Fresh jalapeño
Story
You asked for additional tequila and Chartreuse combinations, and this one pushed into smoky and spicy territory. Mezcal entered the build to deepen the agave character while jalapeño and honey balanced the aggressive herbal intensity of Green Chartreuse.
Method
- Muddle the jalapeño slices lightly in a shaker.
- Add remaining ingredients and cubed ice.
- Shake until chilled.
- Double strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Garnish with a charred lime wheel.
