Ingredients

  • 1 oz Mezcal
  • 1 oz Reposado Tequila
  • 0.75 oz Yellow Chartreuse
  • 0.75 oz Lemon juice
  • 0.25 oz Ginger syrup

Story

When exploring broader tequila and Chartreuse combinations, this drink shifted the conversation toward Yellow Chartreuse for a softer and rounder herbal character. Mezcal and ginger gave it a smoky-earthy backbone without becoming heavy.

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with cubed ice.
  2. Shake until chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe.
  4. Garnish with dehydrated ginger or a lemon slice.

Notes

  • Yellow Chartreuse keeps the drink more floral and less aggressive than the Green Chartreuse builds.
