Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Reposado Tequila
  • 0.5 oz Green Chartreuse
  • 0.75 oz Lime juice
  • 0.5 oz Pineapple juice
  • 0.25 oz Agave syrup
  • 1 dash Celery bitters — Optional

Story

This was the first cocktail suggested after you asked for a unique cocktail using tequila and Chartreuse. The direction was fresh and herbaceous rather than heavy or smoky, with pineapple and celery bitters added to widen the green, vegetal profile around the Green Chartreuse.

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with cubed ice.
  2. Shake until thoroughly chilled.
  3. Double strain into a chilled coupe.
  4. Garnish with a thin jalapeño slice or cilantro sprig.

Notes

  • Celery bitters push the drink toward a sharper savory profile; omit for a softer finish.
