Ingredients

  • 2 oz Mahia
  • 0.75 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz Orange liqueur — Cointreau or dry curaƧao

Story

When I first acquired a bottle of Mahia and asked for usage ideas, you suggested the Casablanca Sidecar as an accessible way to explore the spirit. We started here because the fig and anise notes of Mahia behave similarly to cognac in a classic sour structure, but with a unique aromatic lift.

Method

  1. Sugar the rim of a chilled coupe glass (optional).
  2. Shake all ingredients with ice for ~12 seconds.
  3. Double strain into the prepared glass.
