Ingredients

  • 2 oz Mahia
  • 0.75 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz Honey syrup — 3:1 honey to hot water

Story

This was developed as a simpler, more direct way to showcase Mahia. I wanted something refreshing but with more mouthfeel than a standard sour. You suggested swapping simple syrup for honey, which bridges the figgy notes of the spirit to the bright lemon acidity.

Method

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice until very cold.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  3. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
