- 3/4 oz London Dry Gin
- 3/4 oz Amaro Nonino
- 3/4 oz Lime Juice
- 1/4 oz Bénédictine
- 1/4 oz Suze
Story
This drink was created when you asked for a Chartreuse-free “bartender’s Last Word.” I first rebuilt the structure using gin, lime, Bénédictine, and amaro as a replacement backbone, then refined it further after you requested more variations and deeper amaro integration. The final version resolves the missing Chartreuse function by splitting roles between amaro Nonino (roundness) and Suze (gentian bite), preserving the equal-parts tension of the original.
Method
- Shake all ingredients vigorously with ice, then fine strain into a chilled coupe.
