Golden Vesper
A richer, aromatic martini variation combining vodka, blanc vermouth, Yellow Chartreuse, and a touch of quinquina brightness.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Vodka — Light gin also works
- 0.75 oz Blanc vermouth
- 0.5 oz Yellow Chartreuse
- 0.25 oz Lillet Blanc — Optional but recommended
Story
Once you steered the conversation toward Yellow Chartreuse, the goal shifted from simple blanc-vermouth drinks into more layered martini territory. This recipe came out of exploring elegant, spirit-forward combinations that softened the usual Vesper sharpness with floral sweetness and alpine herbs.
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with cubed ice.
- Stir until cold and silky.
- Strain into a chilled coupe.
- Express a lemon peel over the drink and discard or garnish.
