Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Gin
  • 0.75 oz Blanc vermouth
  • 0.5 oz Yellow Chartreuse
  • 1 dash Orange bitters — Peychaud's bitters also work

Story

After you asked for interesting cocktails using blanc vermouth, we narrowed the focus toward Yellow Chartreuse or mezcal. This was the first Yellow Chartreuse-forward drink that emerged from that pivot: a lighter, floral riff on a Bijou that kept blanc vermouth central instead of treating it as background support.

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with cubed ice.
  2. Stir until thoroughly chilled and lightly diluted.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe.
  4. Express a lemon twist over the surface and garnish.

Notes

    • Orange bitters and Peychaud’s were both suggested during development; orange bitters used as default here.
