Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Gin
  • 0.5 oz Amaro Nonino
  • 0.75 oz Lime juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple syrup
  • 6-8 Mint leaves

Story

As the gin and Nonino discussion expanded, this cocktail appeared as a way to test how the amaro behaved in a brighter, greener drink. The original idea was essentially a Southside with extra depth, and the final form kept the refreshing mint-and-lime core while letting Nonino contribute bitterness and orange-herbal complexity.

Method

  1. Lightly clap mint leaves and place them in a shaker.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and ice.
  3. Shake hard until chilled.
  4. Double strain into a chilled coupe or a highball over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a mint sprig.

Notes

  • Double straining helps keep mint fragments out of the finished drink.
