Frozen Forest Martini
A cold, textural martini variation blending gin, Green Chartreuse, blanc vermouth, and mint into a glacial herbal cocktail.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Gin
- 0.5 oz Green Chartreuse
- 0.25 oz Dolin blanc vermouth
- 1 barspoon White crème de menthe
Story
After asking for more experimental directions, the conversation moved away from classic martini structures and into texture-driven cocktails. This version introduced cracked ice shaking and a subtle mint note to create a frozen, alpine profile that still stayed rooted in Chartreuse.
Method
- Chill a coupe glass.
- Add all ingredients to a shaker with cracked ice.
- Shake hard until fully chilled.
- Double strain into the chilled coupe.
Notes
- The original concept emphasized a glacial texture and cooling finish — cracked ice (rather than cubed) is what produces the icy mouthfeel.
