Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Mahia
  • 0.5 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple syrup
  • 10 leaves Fresh mint
  • 2 oz Club soda

Story

After the overproof rum discussion, I introduced a bottle of Mahia I didn’t know how to use. You suggested this “Marrakesh Mojito” as the primary entry point — mint and lime are classic pairings for anise-forward spirits, bridging the gap between a standard Mojito and the unique fig eau-de-vie.

Method

  1. Gently muddle the mint leaves and simple syrup in the bottom of the glass.
  2. Add the Mahia and lime juice.
  3. Fill with ice and stir.
  4. Top with club soda and garnish with a mint bouquet.
