Mahia Mojito
A refreshing Moroccan-style highball that uses mint and lime to brighten the anise and fig notes of Mahia.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Mahia
- 0.5 oz Fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz Simple syrup
- 10 leaves Fresh mint
- 2 oz Club soda
Story
After the overproof rum discussion, I introduced a bottle of Mahia I didn’t know how to use. You suggested this “Marrakesh Mojito” as the primary entry point — mint and lime are classic pairings for anise-forward spirits, bridging the gap between a standard Mojito and the unique fig eau-de-vie.
Method
- Gently muddle the mint leaves and simple syrup in the bottom of the glass.
- Add the Mahia and lime juice.
- Fill with ice and stir.
- Top with club soda and garnish with a mint bouquet.
