A precise London Dry gin martini variation using restrained Green Chartreuse and orange bitters for a crisp alpine finish.
Ingredients
- 2 oz London Dry gin
- 0.25 oz Green Chartreuse
- 1 dash Orange bitters
Story
When the conversation established that neither genever nor Old Tom gin were available, the focus narrowed to London Dry gin alone. This drink became the distilled endpoint of that refinement process: cold, lean, and intensely herbal without relying on vermouth.
Method
- Chill a Nick & Nora glass.
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with cubed ice.
- Stir until thoroughly chilled.
- Strain into the chilled glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
