A silky Chartreuse-and-orgeat sour balancing almond richness with layered herbal and citrus aromatics.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Green Chartreuse
- 0.5 oz Yellow Chartreuse
- 0.5 oz Orgeat
- 0.75 oz Fresh lemon juice
- 1 dash Orange bitters
- 0.25 oz Dry curaçao — Optional
Story
The request for a non-swizzle orgeat-and-Chartreuse drink led away from tiki textures and toward a more elegant sour. The result became a coupe-served herbal sour with almond richness, bright lemon, and optional curaçao for extra floral lift.
Method
- Add all ingredients to a shaker with cubed ice.
- Shake until thoroughly chilled.
- Fine strain into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with a lemon twist or rosemary sprig.
Notes
- The curaçao is optional but pushes the drink toward a more floral and perfumed profile.
