Chartreuse Swizzle

A tropical and herbal swizzle balancing both Green and Yellow Chartreuse with pineapple, lime, and falernum over crushed ice.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Green Chartreuse
  • 1 oz Yellow Chartreuse
  • 1 oz Fresh pineapple juice
  • 0.75 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz Falernum

Story

This was the first drink we landed on after the request for a cocktail using both Green and Yellow Chartreuse. Rather than going immediately spirit-forward, the conversation started with something tropical and refreshing. The combination of pineapple, lime, and falernum gave both Chartreuses room to shine without overwhelming the drink.

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a Collins glass or tiki mug.
  2. Fill halfway with crushed ice.
  3. Swizzle or stir rapidly until the outside of the glass frosts.
  4. Top with additional crushed ice.
  5. Garnish with a mint sprig and pineapple slice.
