Ingredients

  • 1 oz Mezcal
  • 0.75 oz Blanco or reposado tequila
  • 0.5 oz Yellow Chartreuse
  • 0.5 oz Pineapple juice
  • 0.25 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 1 dash Mole bitters — Aromatic bitters can be substituted

Story

This was the smoky branch of the tequila and Yellow Chartreuse riffs you requested after Desert Canary. The conversation moved toward mezcal, tropical fruit, and mole bitters, building a richer and more dramatic profile while still preserving Yellow Chartreuse’s honeyed herbal character.

Method

  1. Fill a shaker with cubed ice.
  2. Add all ingredients and shake hard until chilled.
  3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large clear cube.
  4. Garnish with a pineapple frond or flamed citrus peel.

Notes

    • The original riff suggested either blanco or reposado tequila depending on desired richness.
